The Mission of HPCM is to promote compassionate, effective care for all Manitobans touched by any life-threatening condition or bereavement, and to provide services and education complementary to the formal health care system.
MEMORY TREE 2013
The Hospice Memory Tree will be open to the public at St. Vital Centre (by The Bay) from November 26, 2013 to December 24, 2013 (included).
The Hospice Memory Tree is a special place to help ease the pain of grief during the holiday season and where you are invited to hang a card of remembrance for your loved one who has died. The tree offers a very meaningful and symbolic way to remember loved ones over the holiday season. This service to the community is provided at no cost to anyone wishing to honour the memory of their loved one. Specially trained volunteers from Hospice & Palliative Care Manitoba are on hand at the Tree to offer support and information on bereavement services. The Hospice Memory Tree is made possible because of the contributions of many. We would like to acknowledge and thank: St. Vital Centre; Manitoba Hydro our partner in the United Way Day of Caring; United Way of Winnipeg and Desjardins Funeral Chapel.
