The Mission of HPCM is to promote compassionate, effective care for all Manitobans touched by any life-threatening condition or bereavement, and to provide services and education complementary to the formal health care system.

SHARON CARSTAIRS CARING COMMUNITY AWARDSenator Sharon Carstairs’ promotion of access to palliative care for all Canadians has garnered international attention.  Her extraordinary work serves as an example throughout the world, and demonstrates how the vision and dedication of one individual can lead to dramatic and effective change. HPCM is deeply grateful for the support extended to our organization over time by Senator Carstairs.  It is our privilege to recognize her outstanding contributions to palliative care with a new award in her honour.
