 The Sunflower Day Support Club

For adults of all ages with life-limiting conditions

and their caregivers

HPCM is pleased to introduce The Sunflower Day Support Club, a new community-based pilot project for people with life limiting conditions, such as cancer, heart conditions, emphysema, liver disease, stroke, etc. and their caregivers.

Operating in a community setting on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, The Sunflower Day Support Club provides an opportunity for people to spend time outside of the home in a supportive environment, socializing with others and participating in a variety of activities. The Club also provides information and emotional support to both clients and caregivers.

There are no fees and self-referrals are welcome. For more information, call us for a confidential discussion, at 889-8525.

The Sunflower is the international emblem for Hospice.

It produces and sows many seeds. It symbolizes the numerous ways volunteers and heath-care providers can bring hope to those faced with a life-limiting illness, their loved ones and caregivers.

Sunflowers always turn to the sun seeking the light. They show strength and character in times of adversity. Sunflowers focus on sunlight for stamina and strength, thrive in adverse growing conditions, and develop deep roots and strong stalks to withstand the elements.
